Our wonderful students and school communities have been very active through the fall and advent seasons. While too many to chronicle individually, the events that stand out the most are as follows:

Assumption college high school held a we scare hunger campaign that was very successful! 150 students and about 10 staff all participated, to the tune of about 12 hours each, and collected several thousand pounds of food items! They hand-delivered over 2000 flyers to local homes, advising them of the drive and the SSVP as the recipients. A week later, they drove around to the communities where they had delivered the flyers and collected whatever goods were being donated.

Back at the school, the food was dropped off, individual items were checked for expiration date. Food items that would be expiring within the next four months were kept separate from the rest and placed in labelled boxes. Meanwhile all the other food items were sorted and put into labelled boxes in preparation for pick up the next day. Please find attached 3 pictures regarding that event.
