Guideline on How to Connect with Sites

  1. Greet them
  2. Introduce Yourself and your position within the Society
  3. Present the Society
    • lay- Catholic organization whose mission is to serve
  4. Present why you are calling them
    • connecting to request a volunteer time slot on a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly basis
  5. Ask what hours are they available to have volunteers
  6. Ask how many volunteers are able to be on the site at a time
  7. Tell them your requirements
  8. Get a name and number for a contact in the location
    • need a space for youth to gather before and after
    • for opening and closing prayer
    • for reflection
    • for snacks
  9. Thank them and let them know that you cannot wait to work with them

Sites

Start with at least 1 site a month then as youth volunteer number pick up and young adult or adult leaders pick up you can start adding more sites.
It is good to have a variety of things for the youth to chose from and get exposed to.
Bring small snacks in every event - chips, fruits, and juice

  • have a budget specifically allotted to this

  • bake sale
  • asking for donations
Funds should be used only for expenses related to the Society i.e. food for sites, prizes during events, etc. © 2018
