Métis Nation of Ontario
The Metis people are likely the least known of Indigenous People in Canada. Historically they the Metis are the descendants of the marriage and relationships between early European explores and settlers with indigenous people in Canada. While a relatively small group by population, current Metis people in Canada are usually found living in our urban centres and can face a number of challenges and barriers which are relevant to their living conditions and their desire to share the common good with all fellow Canadians. It is recommended that SSVP members access the links on this website to learn more about the Métis National of Ontario as well as a
list of locations across Ontario.
