Windsor Essex Central Council completes twinning process

(posted: December 17, 2012)

Untitled Document Windsor Essex Central Council (WECC) recently completed the formal twinning process with Central Council - St John Basseterre in Antigua. We are very proud to announce that Canada's most southerly council has twinned. Communications with our new twin are starting albeit slowly, but we expect improved two way sharing to continue and to increase. One of our first undertakings is to show the Vincentians in Antigua our Canadian Vincentian spirit. We are attempting to flood their mailbox with Christmas cards from Canada. We are asking every conference and council in our WECC region to send a card, and also as many individuals as possible to help overwhelm them with our spirit.

We remember them in our prayers at all our meetings and we offer regular financial assistance to help meet their needs. We expect to grow in our knowledge of how to be a good Vincentian through our twin relationship. We urge all conferences to consider this very "Special Works" of our Society and apply to twin with other conferences beyond our borders.
