Thanks to a very generous donor who gifted the 429 Barton Street East location to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, the new store, which is more than 3 times the size of their previous location on King Street, opened January 29. There was a grand opening celebration on January 28 when Bishop Douglas Crosby blessed the beautiful store and the Wall of Thanks was unveiled. A video was shared showing the location before many volunteers worked tirelessly since December 2016 to transform the building into what it is today, a beautifully organized St. Vincent de Paul Value Store. Thank you to the many generous donors and volunteers who provided funds and their gift of time to make this possible.
